If you prefer something a little less virtual and a lot more physical come join the Incline Club for Sunday long runs and Thursday hill work on the trails on and around Pikes Peak.
From 1997 through 2006, runners who ran with the Incline Club took home 72 top-10s in the Pikes Peak Ascent and Marathon! All
levels and abilities are welcome and you can expect 50-100 runners to help push you to your best.
On Sundays (late November - August) the club rotates between the following long runs:
- To Barr Camp (and higher) and back. When the snow melts in mid-June we run to the top of Pikes Peak via the Elk Park Trail off of the Pikes Peak Highway
- The Ute Indian Trail to Waldo Canyon then up Longs Ranch Road and back down the Barr Trail (this run gets dropped once the snow melts to Barr Camp)
- Up Rampart Range Road, down Williams Canyon and through Waldo Canyon and back via the Ute Indian Trail (also dropped once the snow melts)
On Thursdays (April - August) the club rotates between the following two workouts:
- 30 minutes alternating 1 minute hard, 1 minute easy from Hydro Street up the Barr Trail
- Tempo run from Hydro Street up the Barr Trail to No Name Creek or 30 minutes whichever comes first
For more information about meeting times and workout protocols check out the
Incline Clubs web page.
